CMA - the people
CMA is organized as part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural
Sciences at the University of Oslo. The centre has 26 main participants,
meaning researchers who have commited themselves to pursue the intentions
of the research plan.
Among the 26 researchers, 18 hold full time positions at the University
of Oslo.
The other 8 have adjunct positions in the centre while their main
positions are at SINTEF Applied mathematics, the Norwegian School
of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), the University of
Bergen (UiB), and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology
(NTNU).
A main objective of the centre is to educate new researchers. Considering
the size of the centre, a reasonable number of such positions at
any time could be 15-20.
There is no teaching at bachelor- or master level by the centre
itself. However our members will teach and supervise in their home
departments as before, and we hope to offer workplaces for masterstudents
with relevant interests and thesis subjects in the centre.
The centre has one administrative officer, and plans to hire a
scientific programmer for the laboratory activities.
In addition CMA will have several guests visiting us for shorter
and longer periods.
See the left margin menu for names.
