Kick-off conference, CMA

September 1-2, 2003
We hereby announce the kick-off conference for
the Centre of Mathematics for Applications at the University of
Oslo. The centre, which started officially on March 1, 2003, is
funded by the Research Council of Norway. The conference is intended
for a broad audience with interests in mathematics and its applications.
It brings invited speakers from inside and outside of the centre
with the purpose of raising issues and exchanging ideas on the following
topics and their applications:
- Geometry
- Stochastic Analysis
- Differential Equations
- Astrophysics
- Computational Quantum Mechanics
The conference will be held in Georg
Sverdrups hus (the University Library) at the University of
Oslo, Blindern.
